China's Vertical Lathe Machine Tool Industry

- May 23, 2018 -

Dalian CNC Lathe: The absence of high-level, high-precision, composite, and intelligent features of the common CNC machine tools and the lack of key skills have left the domestic machine tool industry "low-end melee, high-end fall". At present, the imported product occupies 85% of the domestic market for advanced machine tools, while the domestically-used CNC machine tools account for nearly 70% of the simple economical CNC machine tools with low added value. In 2008, the import value of China's metal processing machine tools was 7.59 billion U.S. dollars. Although the amount of imports fell due to the financial crisis, the amount of imports in 2009 reached 5.9 billion U.S. dollars. Scholars pointed out that the current level of skill in the world's machine tools is to promote the production of CNC machine-sheet machines as the main stream, which will continue within 20 years, and will continue to do so. On the basis of further progress in precision, power, automation, intelligence, and networking, the company has gradually transitioned to processing units and top-level flexible manufacturing systems. While the Chinese machine tool industry has experienced the process of learning, imitating, and autonomy, there is still a considerable gap between precision, power, automation, intelligence, environmental protection, and foreign progress. There are few companies that can provide complete sets of services and provide services for users in the professional sector, and they provide short-term supply of complete treatment plans or undertake more messy engineering projects.

Because of the high cost of FMS (flexible manufacturing system) and CIMS (computer integrated manufacturing system) products, CNC lathes are expensive to develop, too difficult to develop, and the companies' willingness to invest is not strong. The production strategy for the occupational skills transformation projects is too ambitious. The large-scale and heavy-duty products of technical reform projects tend to be significant. This makes the numerical control system and key functional components start to lag behind, becoming a “bottleneck” factor that limits the sustainability of career development. At present, the domestic market share of the domestic mid-range CNC system is about 30%, while more than 95% of the high-level CNC system needs to be imported. The overall market share of functional components in the domestic market is 30%, and the market share of advanced functional components is even lower. Taiwan's regional branded functional components account for about 50% of the domestic market, and the other 20% are products of European Union and Japan brands. The result of using OEM as the primary mode of production can only enable the company to persist in the cycle of simple production and inability to develop its own skills. The occupation of machine tools is attributed to occupations with densely crafted skills, capital and personnel, and has many features such as multiple product categories, multiple types, small batch sizes, high personal requirements, high production experience requirements, and long funding periods. It is also important to build a corporate layout plan that is consistent with it. At this stage, the domestic machine tool industry is still dominated by state-owned enterprises, accounting for as high as 90%. The backward traditional state-owned enterprise system has become a serious systemic obstacle to career development. The traditional state-owned enterprises are compared with other types of enterprises in terms of their economic benefits, their innovative skills, and their appetite for market demands. There are significant intervals, and the appearance of immersed in the plan prevails. The control of more resources, but can not be the first transformation, can not be more practical in the practice of skills to lead the practice, constitute professional skills in the occupational industry, a low degree of competition, the overall economic efficiency of enterprises is low. According to calculations made by the China Machine Tool and East-West Industries Association on 232 point-linked companies, the average overall labor productivity in 2009 was 143,000 yuan and the profit rate was 6.2%. And this degree of loss makes the arts a little different. And this cycle approach cannot be changed, and the world of machine tool professional progress will only be an excellent hope.
